• Account details: Your email address and profile data received through Google sign-in via NextAuth.js.
• Transcripts & summaries: Videos you process, generated transcripts, summaries, and chat history stored privately in Vercel Blob storage.
• Usage metrics: Aggregated analytics (page views and feature usage) collected through Google Analytics, without storing personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate you securely and maintain your session across the app.
• Store transcripts, summaries, and chat responses so you can revisit them later.
• Improve product performance and monitor feature adoption through anonymized analytics.
• Provide relevant Amazon deals when you request them and leverage curated fallbacks when needed.

3. Data Storage & Retention

• Transcripts and summaries are stored in Vercel Blob storage with read/write access limited to YT Chats.
• You can delete a transcript at any time from the account dashboard; removal is permanent.
• Backups are periodically created to guard against accidental loss and are purged after 30 days.

4. Third-Party Services

YT Chats integrates with trusted services to deliver functionality:

• Google OAuth for authentication (NextAuth.js).
• OpenAI for language model responses and summarization.
• Vercel Blob storage for transcript and summary persistence.
• Amazon Product Advertising API and curated deal feed for shopping recommendations.
• Google Analytics for aggregated usage metrics.

5. Your Choices & Rights

• Access: View transcripts, summaries, and chat logs on the account dashboard.
• Delete: Remove individual entries, which deletes the stored blob permanently.
• Sign-out: End the session at any time via the header.
• Opt-out of analytics: Use browser extensions or settings to block tracking if you prefer not to share anonymized usage data.

6. Updates

We may revise this policy as the product evolves. When updates occur, we will adjust the “Updated” date and announce changes inside the app.
